Today is September 25th and the leaves are beginning to change around the lake. We're seeing mostly light greens and yellows, with the underbrush (specifically the sumac) showing off bright oranges and reds. On the Minnesota DNR Fall Color map it indicates that Itasca State Park fall colors are at about 25-50% right now. That means the weekends of October 1st and 8th should be at nearly peak or peak.
We are open until October 18th this year and cabins are available to rent on a last minute notice! We love impulse planners! If you are a fall color lover, plan to visit Itasca State Park during the day, then stay in one of our lakeside cabins to quietly watch the water and see the sunset.
Until next time ~~ Jennifer
Jennifer and Bob own Two Inlets Resort which is close to Itasca State Park, offering cozy lakeside cabins for rent on a nightly basis.
