No two Minnesota resorts are the same, right? And I'd also say that no two Minnesota lakes are the same either.
Last week we took a vacation to a different kind of Minnesota lake. We spent a couple nights in Two Harbors on the north shore of Lake Superior. We had a great time relaxing in a cabin on the lake, just like you do when you come to Two Inlets Resort. The primary difference, however, is that the average person can't really "use" Lake Superior like you can Two Inlets Lake. It wasn't frozen over so the waves were fun to watch. And the sun rising over such a big body of water in the morning was beautiful.
We went snowshoeing at Gooseberry Falls State Park and climbed high enough for some scenery you can't get around here. Our wildlife count was one fox and three deer. I was hoping to see both a moose and some type of owl, but we weren't that lucky. I think we needed to be a bit further north for that.
We believe it's always good to explore other resort areas for educational purposes -- to be the guest instead of the host and to learn from that perspective. It was a nice trip and one we'll likely repeat, but we still like Two Inlets Lake a lot better for a variety of reasons!
Until next time ~~ Jennifer
